Karin shares with you her take on the Yoga practice of  Fire Breathing.

Often used in Yoga practices, breathing exercises are a quick and simple way to help enhance your sense of well-being and may be beneficial for both your physical and mental health.

In this video, you will learn the breathing technique known as Fire Breathing also known as Breath of fire, “skull shining breath” or Kapalabhati. In Sanskrit, “kapal” means “skull” or “forehead” and “bhati” means “illuminating.”

As a form of breath control, this breathing technique is associated with stress relief. It may also improve respiratory health, concentration, and mindfulness. It’s also said to strengthen the abdominal muscles and improve digestion.

This breath is great for restoring that necessary balance

Tiny mindfulness habits will change your life – having a short, consciously chosen “Me-time” is very beneficial to how you feel and your ability to switch off from the hectic world we live in –

The trick is to make it your daily routine by attaching the initiating trigger to something you already do, for example, right before you start your work day.

Your benefits of this breathing meditation session:

  1. Improves our ability to focus the mind
  2. Calms and centres the mind.
  3. Releases stress and relaxes the body.
  4. Encourages presencing- staying in the present moment with breath (releasing worries and fears)
  5. Balances the right and left side of the brain- restoring harmony to both your logical and emotional parts of the brain.
  6. Balances your feminine and masculine aspects.
  7. Harmonizes the lungs and circulation.
