Introduction to Tea

In 2737 BCE a Chinese emperor, accidentally discovered tea.
According to ancient tales, stray tea leaves drifted into the emperor’s boiling pot of water while he was foraging. And so began a centuries-long love affair with tea.

A cup of tea can calm you when you are worried, awaken you when you are lethargic, cool you when you are feeling hot, and warm you when you are feeling cold.
Somehow, it seems as if tea knows what you want and how you feel.

There’s an old Chinese saying that says drinking tea daily will starve the apothecary.

Tea is complex and absorbing, with different types, tastes, and appeal, connecting people from many cultures (just like wine, but without calories, and you can still drive! 😊)
So let’s explore this wonder called tea in a full day of knowledge, fun and of course: Tea

About Jörg Müller

Jörg Müller is a Medical Herbalist(B.Sc. Hons), Master Teablender and co-founder of Solaris Botanicals, whose virgin tea blends created a storm all those many years ago when they were released into the unassuming world of tea connoisseurs.

His expert nose has been likened to that of a perfumer, and he has a true talent for exciting new flavour sensations.

Nowadays, his role is split between administrating Solaris Tea, originating blends for our customized tea blends, teaching for the European Academy of Tea  and sourcing the teas, which involves travelling to our partner tea farms and choosing only the best plant.
